What the provincial framework changes
Manitoba requires registration and authorization before constructing, replacing, expanding or modifying an onsite wastewater management system, with applications handled through Environment and Climate Change.
The practical result is that a septic decision cannot be separated from the property record. The applicable authority may need a permit, registration, filing, notification, approval or certified professional depending on the province and project.
